If you are the owner of a puppy, an excitable or anxious dog you may think that a photoshoot isn't possible.  Think again! 

Over the years we have gained lots of experience working with many different dogs spanning a whole range of breeds, ages and temperaments.  All dogs have their own nuanced requirements and we take special care to ensure that they are happy in the studio environment.  Plus we have lots of tricks up our sleeve to get excellent results from even the most unlikely models!

If you have any doubts or concerns it is always best to get in touch. 

Basic commands like a simple 'sit', 'stay' & 'wait' go a long way!  Teach your dog to sit and wait on a spot for a period of time, rewarding with a treat every successful pause.  Try to get them focussed on the treat rather than you, this will eventually help guide their gaze towards the lens.

If your dog is excitable, take time out to practice 'settle'.  A calm dog is always the best to place to start. 

I am sure you are aware of the 'Cheese Tax'.  We are all about rewarding good behaviour. 

Be sure to pack a selection of their favourite treats to reward good behaviour and trade for poses.  We will have some treats of our own on the day but it is great to have something they are guaranteed to like.

Toys can also help.  For some dogs a ball is the ultimate reward and they aren't bothered by treats at all.  

Both treats and toys can be over stimulating if we get them out too soon. Start with lower value treats and work up to the stinky stuff to help gain their attention. 

Before we begin your photoshoot session, tell me all about your dog - their personality, quirks, and what makes them so special to you.  It all helps to tailor the photoshoot uniquely to them.  Choose your favourite background colour so we can have it ready for when you arrive. 

We will start with a calm introduction to the studio space.  We can formally meet each other and your dog can settle in nicely. 

Throughout the session we will capture lots of different poses, from classic to candid! Include outfits & accessories or just as they are. 

Absolutely!  I have spent many years of photographing people too. 

On the lead up to your session we can discuss including a 'You & Your Dog' element.  I use additional lighting to make sure you are all lit correctly.

As you are well aware, your cat responds to commands and unusual situations in a host of unexpected ways.  A cat photoshoot reflects this giving them much more freedom to explore and do things in their own time.   In some cases, cats have out-performed dogs! 

After your session I will send you an online preview gallery featuring all the images from your photoshoot.  These are watermarked and unedited and are for reference only. 

Choose your final images and products after reviewing the results. 

An A4 fine art print is included in your session.  From here you are invited to build a personalised collection which can include digital images, fine art prints, framed wall art, and thoughtful gift items that are perfect for displaying at home or sharing with family and friends.
