Chelsea Dog Day 2025: A Little Rain, a Lot of Wagging Tails

On Saturday 4th October, the streets of Chelsea were alive with wagging tails, muddy paws, and the unmistakable energy that only hundreds of dogs (and their devoted humans) can bring. Chelsea Dog Day 2025 returned to the King’s Road and Duke of York Square for another fabulous celebration of our four-legged friends — and not even Storm Amy could dampen the mood.

Despite a bit of wild weather and some outdoor plans being cancelled for safety (including the Woof About Market), the spirit of the day was unstoppable. Dog-mums, dog-dads, and their pups turned out in true Chelsea style — raincoats, umbrellas, and endless enthusiasm in tow.

The Pawfect Day Out

Chelsea Dog Day is always a highlight of the autumn calendar. This year, over 80 local shops, restaurants and hotelsjoined in the fun with special dog-friendly treats, water bowls, discounts, and photo opportunities. From stylish boutiques to cosy cafés, everywhere you looked there were dogs being doted on, owners smiling, and tails wagging through the drizzle.

Even with the weather doing its best to keep things interesting, the event perfectly captured what we love most about this neighbourhood — community, creativity, and a shared love for dogs.

Our Woof Photography Pop-Up at Peter Jones

For us, Chelsea Dog Day is all about celebrating the unique personalities behind every wag. This year, our Woof Photography pop-up studio took over a space inside Peter Jones & Partners, giving pups and their people a chance to step out of the rain and into the spotlight.

As always, our pop-up featured our three signature backdrops — each one designed to complement your dog’s personality and look stunning in print or on your wall:

• Cream: Elegant, timeless, and effortlessly chic. Perfect for every breed and every home.
• Light Blue / Teal: Vibrant yet subtle — a colour that pops beautifully without stealing the show.
• Pink: Bold, playful, and packed with personality. Ideal for the sassiest pups on the block.

It’s always a joy watching owners pick the backdrop that feels just right for their dog. Whether it’s a confident Frenchie striking a pose on Pink or a gentle Whippet looking effortlessly graceful on Cream, every shoot reminds us why we do what we do — capturing the fun, the bond, and the love that makes each partnership unique.

Behind the Lens: The Woof Photography Experience

Even in a busy event setting, our pop-up shoots are designed to feel calm, engaging and, above all, fun. We’re all about celebrating that “partner in crime” energy between dogs and their humans — the spark that makes every session feel so personal.

Between wagging tails, squeaky toys, and a few treats for encouragement, we created portraits full of character and joy. The best part? Seeing the reactions from owners when they viewed their images — laughter, smiles, and that proud “that’s so them” moment every dog parent knows.
