East Village Dog Day: A New Dog-Friendly Day Out in East London 

If you had a big doggy day out planned for September and your plans have been thrown a little off course, we’ve got a new date for your diary…

East Village Dog Day is coming to Stratford on Saturday 5 September — and Woof Photography will be there with our pop-up studio!

Set in the heart of East Village, E20, this brand-new dog day is bringing together dogs, their humans, independent businesses and plenty of things to see, do and sniff. It’s a chance to spend a few hours with your four-legged best friend, discover some brilliant local businesses and generally celebrate being a dog person.

And if you’re local to East London, even better — this one is right on your doorstep.

🐶 Something for every kind of dog

The day is being hosted by Woof About and there’s a packed programme of dog-friendly activities taking place throughout the day.

Luke’s Dog School will be putting on the dog show in Victory Park, with competitions, training demonstrations and the chance for your dog to have a go at agility and show off their best tricks.

Think My Dog’s Got Talent, temptation challenges, trick training and plenty of opportunities for your dog to become the star of the show.

There’ll also be a Woof About indie market, with independent businesses offering treats, goodies and doggy finds, plus the chance to explore something a little different with doggy tarot readings from Yvette’s Intuition.

So whether your dog is a natural performer, professional treat-hunter, enthusiastic shopper or simply enjoys being somewhere with lots of other dogs, there should be something for them.

📸 And yes… we’re bringing the studio!

We’ll be bringing the Woof Photography pop-up studio to Location: 31-34 Victory Parade, E20 1FS, London.

If you’ve never experienced one of our pop-ups before, this is a great opportunity to give your dog the full Woof Photography treatment without having to book a trip across London to our studio.

You’ll get a 20-minute professional studio photoshoot with Jonny, using professional lighting and a choice of our signature statement backdrops. The aim is simple: capture your dog’s personality, character and general fabulousness in a series of beautiful portraits.

The shoot costs £35, with images available to purchase afterwards.

Spaces are limited and the sessions run throughout the day, so if you already know you want to take home some seriously good photos of your dog, it’s worth booking ahead rather than hoping to grab a slot on the day.

🎨 Woof Portraits will be joining us too

And because one Woof is apparently never enough…

Ryan from Woof Portraits will also be there, showcasing his collection of hand-drawn digital pet illustrations and traditional ink drawings.

If you’ve ever thought “I’d love a drawing of my dog”, this is your chance to see the artwork in person and chat about commissioning a bespoke portrait.

You could even start the day with a photograph and finish with a drawing of the same very good dog.

📍 East London, come and say hello

East Village is already a brilliant place to spend time with your dog, and we’re particularly excited to be part of its first dedicated dog day.

If you live in Stratford, Hackney, Leyton, Bow, Hackney Wick, Walthamstow or anywhere nearby, this is a great excuse to get the dog out, meet some other local dog people and discover what’s happening right on your doorstep.

And if you were one of the many dog owners who had been looking forward to a big September dog festival elsewhere in London, consider this your nudge to keep the date in the diary.
